Journeyman Lineman Trainer

Responsibilities

• Teach Lineman Training Program courses with emphasis on safety, OSHA/NESC standards, and climbing/rescue techniques
• Assess student performance through assignments and hands-on evaluations and maintain accurate records
• Mentor students on career paths and certifications while supporting industry partnerships
• Maintain updated course materials and ensure all classroom, lab, and climbing equipment meet safety and industry standards
• Engage in ongoing professional development and complete duties assigned by leadership

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum three years of field experience performing journeyman-level or equivalent lineman duties
• Demonstrated expertise in linework theory and practice
• Ability to climb utility poles and perform rescue techniques
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and safety regulations
• Valid unrestricted driver's license with Class B CDL minimum
• Ability to lift and move up to 120 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Systems Technology or related field
• Electrical Journeyman Lineman certification
• Class A CDL
• Experience with campus Nexus
