Journeyman Field Support Representative

Responsibilities

• Act as the liaison between the operational squadron and the development/engineering activity
• Perform and support software loading on-site
• Troubleshoot software issues found in the fleet, test, or lab
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of aircraft electrical, LAN/WAN, secure communications, and mission network systems
• Maintain strict configuration control of mission system hardware and software baselines
• Provide operator and maintainer training
• Oversee laptop maintenance including updates, STIGs, and scans
• Identify recurring system failures and document root cause trends

Requirements

• Working knowledge of tactical communications, networking, mission systems, test tools, and MIL-STD-1553
• Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Yankee White clearance
• 3 years of related experience with a BS degree OR 7 years of related experience with HS diploma

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of the VH-92A helicopter
• Familiarity with fleet support initiatives
• Basic understanding of software loading of avionics
• Thorough understanding of military avionics and subsystems
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalls
