Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, repairs, and troubleshooting on all E&I equipment within the manufacturing facility
• Troubleshoot PLCs and work with ladder logic to maintain operational efficiency
• Read and update electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Participate in the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure regulatory compliance and pollution prevention
• Execute LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) activities and obtain Permits to Work (PTW) following company and regulatory guidelines
• Use SAP or CMMS software for work tracking, maintenance documentation, and parts ordering
• Assist in developing Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and assist with building maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification
• 3-5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs and understanding ladder logic
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings, manuals, and catalogs
• Proficiency in using SAP or other CMMS software
• Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs and climb stairs or ladders
• Ability to wear all required safety equipment, including respirators and confined space qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts and other related plant equipment
• Experience managing external contractors
