Journeyman Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, repairs, and troubleshooting on all E&I equipment within the facility
• Troubleshoot PLCs and work effectively with ladder logic
• Read electrical drawings and update them as required
• Participate in the Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure regulatory compliance and pollution prevention
• Work with operations to obtain Permits to Work (PTW) and perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities
• Use SAP or other CMMS software for work tracking and maintenance documentation
• Assist in developing Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Make recommendations for equipment upgrades and service improvements
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and assist with building maintenance tasks as needed

Requirements

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician certification
• 3-5 years of practical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and understanding ladder logic
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical drawings, manuals, and catalogs
• Physical ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs and climb stairs or ladders
• Ability to wear all required safety equipment, including respirators and confined space qualifications
• Strong understanding of shop math and ability to use a personal computer
