About the Company

The Queen’s Journal of Ethnic and Racial Studies aims to give students a chance to engage in topics related to existing institutional systems of oppression and racial advocacy that will help enhance their academic perspectives.

Responsibilities

Senior Editor

• Support editors-in-chief in administrative and management of editing team
• Ensure quality and consistency among editors
• Provide mentorship

Editorial Board Member

• Review and select submissions
• Provide feedback to authors and perform fact-checking
• Participate in weekly meetings

Marketing Coordinator

• Promote the journal through social media, digital, and print advertising
• Develop posters and visual advertising for campus and Kingston

Event and Outreach Coordinator

• Organize journal-related events such as launch parties and information sessions
• Engage with various faculties and departments
• Build connections with the undergraduate student body through events and fundraisers

First Year Intern

• Assist with research and outreach
• Perform light administrative work
• Support the team and learn editorial standards
