Joint Exercise Planner

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all aspects of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) to support USSPACECOM Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises
• Support the Global Integration and Exercise Plans Branch by establishing JELC requirements and deliverables
• Review, develop, and process force requests and space effects requirements for USSPACECOM and other Combatant Commands (CCMDs)
• Provide SME support across multiple space mission areas including SATCOM, GPS, Space Domain Awareness, Missile Warning, and Space Control
• Assist in the planning and coordination of major conferences such as CDC, IPC, MPC, FPC, and MSEL Synchronization Conferences
• Develop intelligence exercise objectives, manage the Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), and provide feedback for After Action Reports (AARs)
• Create and prepare high-level media, presentations, and briefings for senior leadership (GO/FLAG level)
• Coordinate plans between internal and external staff agencies to ensure coherent exercise execution

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI, ACCM, and SAP eligibility
• Bachelor's Degree or 15+ years of relevant experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)
• Extensive experience with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Combatant Command (CCMD) operations
• Proven expertise in developing and processing DoD correspondence, including memorandums, talking papers, and staff packages
• Strong knowledge of current space or joint space operations
• Experience briefing and interacting with senior military officers and senior civilians
• Ability to manage complex requirements from project inception to conclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) I
• Completion of JPME II
