About the role
Responsibilities
- Review job costs and overhead expenses to identify corrective actions
- Assist in gathering and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage banking activities, controls, and month-end tasks
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor invoicing, and collections
- Oversee job costing and purchase order processes
- Compile labor hours and process payroll
- Support HR administration including onboarding, benefits, and PTO tracking
- Maintain office and construction supply inventory
- Manage business licenses and documentation
- Process workers’ compensation and vehicle accident claims
- Provide receptionist and administrative support
Requirements
- 2–5 years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of Office Manager experience
