About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-the-job assistance and vocational coaching to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assess vocational abilities and safety skills to support successful employment
  • Coordinate career activities including interviewing, resume writing, and job applications
  • Offer on-the-job supports such as role modeling, problem-solving, and mentoring
  • Promote independence and provide skills training to facilitate job readiness
  • Assist in developing Individual Service Plans and monitor the quality of supports
  • Complete necessary documentation including progress notes, incident reports, and data collection
  • Advocate for the rights and dignity of individuals while maintaining strict confidentiality

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Proof of automobile insurance
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as walking and standing
  • Ability to complete required trainings including First Aid, CPR, and MOAB

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in human services or a related field working with persons with disabilities
  • Background in coaching, mentoring, or vocational support
