Jira and Confluence Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve software solutions to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software using industry-aligned programming languages and frameworks.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
• Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing to ensure reliability.
• Manage incident response, customer support, and triage to ensure platform stability.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Jira and Confluence administration and configuration.
• Proficiency in writing JQL queries to extract meaningful insights.
• Experience with incident response, problem-solving, and technical triage.
• Ability to support customers from high-level inquiries through to remediation.
• Strong understanding of software engineering methodologies and secure coding practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Groovy scripting.
• Atlassian certifications.
• Awareness of AWS infrastructure, specifically EC2.
• Experience with Chef, deployment tools, and GitOps.
