Java Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of Java-based microservices and enterprise applications
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers through regular code reviews
• Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) practices
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs following SOA/Microservices principles
• Design and manage messaging pipelines using RabbitMQ, Kafka, AMQP, and JMS
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated testing strategies
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and agile ceremonies

Requirements

• 8 to 12 years of professional experience
• Proficiency in Java 8+ (Streams, Lambdas, CompletableFuture)
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Deep understanding of SOA architecture and RESTful API design
• Solid experience with TDD and mocking frameworks like Mockito
• Experience with BDD using Cucumber
• Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka
• Proficiency with SQL, JDBC, JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Data
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
• Exposure to reactive programming with Project Reactor or RxJava
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
