About the role
Responsibilities
- Handle Application Support for banking environments with hands-on Incident Management
- Manage escalation procedures and work with multiple vendors
- Report and track issues, ageing, and resolution
- Work with multiple application and infrastructure teams to resolve issues and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Mentor junior staff on incident handling
- Identify patterns of repeat issues and collaborate with teams on permanent resolution
- Manage and track Change Control for infrastructure and applications
- Participate in Change Control Boards and manage inter-application dependencies
- Monitor and track service availability
- Coordinate and document Disaster Recovery (DR) drills
- Document operational procedures and manage workload for L1/L2/L3 teams
Requirements
- 8 to 12 years of experience in Java Support or Application Support roles
- Proven experience in Banking Application Support
- Expertise in Incident, Configuration, Service, Problem, and Escalation Management
- Strong interpersonal and process-oriented skills
- Experience in stakeholder management and project delivery strategy
- Knowledge of LOS/LMS, Payment Gateways, POS, Cards, Wallets, Fintech, or MSME Lending is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Vendor resource management experience
- Exposure to Retail or Corporate Banking functionality
- Experience in end-to-end project planning including scope, risk, and quality management
