Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex multi-tiered application software for space vehicle command and control
• Translate customer requirements into initial designs and software products within an Agile execution framework
• Develop and enhance software products and features for system integrations
• Document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure software reliability and efficiency
• Interface with the user community to troubleshoot issues and gather feedback for future design concepts
• Implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
• 3+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/React.js, HTML, and CSS
• 3+ years of experience in software development and configuration management tools
• 3+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 9+ years of related work experience
• 5+ years of experience in Java, React, and AWS environments
• 5+ years of experience with Windows/Linux-based IDEs, Maven, Git, and GitLab
• 2+ years of experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket)
• 2+ years of experience writing unit tests (JUnit/Mockito)
• 2+ years of experience with Spring Boot, NoSQL (MongoDB), REST API integration, and Kubernetes with Helm
• Experience implementing algorithms involving orbital mechanics or coordinate transforms
