Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and operation of mission-critical processing services for the Pure1 cloud platform.
• Partner with Product and Architecture teams to translate complex requirements into scalable, resilient architectural designs.
• Drive continuous innovation by experimenting with new technologies and architectural patterns to improve system performance and security.
• Maintain a quality-first mindset through comprehensive unit testing, thorough code reviews, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead the resolution of complex inter-operability issues between new and existing system components to ensure high availability.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in architecting, implementing, and testing components within large-scale, complex distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java (preferred), with knowledge of Python or Go being a plus.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, networking infrastructure, and Linux operating environments.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Ability to work onsite from our Prague, Czech Republic office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI, security, and automation within SaaS platforms.
• Proven track record of managing petabytes of real-time data.
• Experience in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.
