Java Software Engineer 2

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Java-based applications from a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) perspective to ensure stability and performance
• Manage incident support, compliance, security initiatives, and end-of-life (EOL) efforts for a portfolio of 90+ applications
• Collaborate on DevOps practices and platform operations for applications hosted on PCF and KOB infrastructure
• Implement new features, improve test coverage, and contribute to reliable software releases
• Provide support for enterprise applications built on technologies including Java, .NET, Salesforce, Oracle, and MongoDB

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Experience building scalable and secure backend services and microservices using RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, including query optimization
• Experience contributing to CI/CD and DevOps practices using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps
• Proven ability to develop clean, maintainable, and testable code through code reviews and debugging

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-of-life (EOL) initiatives, including Linux and Windows server migrations
• Demonstrated ability to improve release management processes through automation and engineering best practices
