Java Python Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot secure, high-quality software solutions using Java and Python.
• Develop production-ready code and perform thorough reviews and debugging of peer code.
• Implement agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practices.
• Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
• Drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies through software engineering communities of practice.

Requirements

• Strong programming proficiency in both Python and Java.
• Proven experience within the payments or financial services industry.
• Experience with modern web development technologies including JS, HTML, CSS, and DOM.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization and analysis technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with end-to-end delivery on a modern web tech stack.
• Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not provided).
