Java Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain RESTful Web Services APIs and algorithms using Java 8 and above
• Produce comprehensive and detailed design and development documentation
• Deliver features on schedule within an Agile/Scrum framework
• Participate in code reviews and coordinate with other teams to enhance peer designs
• Collaborate with internal partner engineering teams in an agile environment

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java 8+ and object-oriented design
• 4+ years of experience with highly scalable microservices
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and REST
• Proficiency with NoSQL/SQL databases such as Cassandra, Redis, or MySQL
• Experience with AWS cloud APIs including RDS, DynamoDB, and S3
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Experience with event-driven architecture using Kafka, SNS, or SQS
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and version control via Git

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with search technologies like Elasticsearch or Solr
• Familiarity with JMS, XML, JSON, and messaging techniques
• Experience with Artifactory and JIRA
