Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain multiple interconnected Spring Boot applications
• Build scalable backend solutions within a distributed systems architecture
• Work with event-driven and REST-based communication patterns
• Prepare containerized applications for deployment in Kubernetes environments
• Collaborate on deployment automation and platform-related processes
• Contribute to complex business domain solutions and technical decision-making
• Work closely with the team to deliver reliable and maintainable software

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in Java backend development
• Strong experience with Java (latest versions) and Spring Boot
• Hands-on experience with Hibernate and relational databases such as PostgreSQL
• Practical experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Experience working with Kafka and REST-based integrations
• Hands-on experience with Docker and understanding of containerized environments
• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor)
• English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level
• Must reside in the European Union and hold a valid EU work permit

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Camunda
• Exposure to Kubernetes environments and deployment automation tools like Argo CD
• Experience with Avro or similar data serialization formats
• Experience applying GenAI within the SDLC through defined workflows or prompt patterns
• Interest in emerging AI-driven practices and agent-based workflows
