Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications
• Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and stakeholders to implement software solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and testable code
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software design, implementation, and testing
• Develop and maintain automated unit tests and system-level test scripts
• Support and enhance existing legacy applications while contributing to modernization efforts
• Participate in Agile/Scrum team activities including sprint planning and standups

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of recent software development experience
• Experience with Java enterprise application development
• Proficiency in Object-oriented programming principles
• Experience developing applications against Oracle databases (SQL and PL/SQL)
• Experience with source control systems like Git or SVN
• Experience with Maven or other Java build automation tools
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or JaCoCo
• Experience with C#/.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, or Entity Framework
• Experience working in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries
• Experience in SDLC documentation technical writing
