Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software solutions and RESTful microservices.
• Work across the full software development lifecycle within an Agile environment.
• Implement best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and secure coding (SecDevOps).
• Collaborate with stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to contribute to technical design and innovation.
• Produce technical documentation and reports to support project delivery.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Java development using the Spring framework, including reactive programming.
• Proven experience working in Agile environments and multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, GitOps, and SecDevOps principles.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with containerisation and Kubernetes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of unit and integration testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Jest).
• Ability to obtain security clearance and valid work rights for Australia.
