Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clean, modern, and scalable RESTful APIs.
• Integrate APIs with legacy systems and ensure efficient interaction with underlying databases.
• Apply API design principles including access control, authorization (JWT, Okta, OAuth), routing, and versioning.
• Document APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger or other emerging standards.
• Develop services for large-scale applications using various architectures such as microservices or serverless.
• Design queries and model data across SQL and NoSQL databases using ORM and caching strategies.
• Implement automated testing, performance profiling, error management, and debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Java Developer.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot (WebFlux, Spring Data) and related frameworks.
• Solid experience in designing, documenting, and deploying RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger, JWT/OAuth/Okta).
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB) and ORM (Hibernate/R2DBC).
• Proficiency with DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Availability to work in a hybrid model in Mexico City, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reactive programming.
• Knowledge of hexagonal architecture.
• Experience with cloud services.
