Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and scale the backend of the platform powering consumer experiences for brand owners and sellers
• Inspire, recruit, and mentor engineering colleagues
• Operate in a scalable engineering culture leveraging decoupled systems and automated CI/CD, testing, and monitoring
• Work closely with Product, Design, User Research, and Product Marketing teams
• Coordinate with product management stakeholders to scope and plan projects

Requirements

• 5.5+ years of total experience with 4+ years of relevant experience
• Deep familiarity with the web application development process
• Proficiency in Java with frameworks such as Spring or Spring Boot
• Experience with modern JavaScript application development and Node server frameworks (e.g., Koa or Express)
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Proven track record of writing and deploying code (backend, frontend, or full-stack)
• Immediate availability or serving notice period within 15 days

Preferred Qualifications

• Scala or Spark experience
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), S3, and SQS
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration & Deployment and Unit Testing
