Java Backend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade backend applications using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain microservices-based systems using design patterns such as Saga, Circuit Breaker, and Retry.
• Support complex business workflows and event-driven processing using Apache Kafka.
• Implement secure backend services utilizing Spring Security, OAuth2/JWT, and role-based access control.
• Design, optimize, and maintain database schemas and persistence layers using Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, or MongoDB.
• Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS using services including Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Perform unit and integration testing and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development or a related role.
• Proven experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of microservices patterns and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with database management using Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
