Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Quarkus
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems that are scalable, secure, and efficient
• Collaborate with front-end developers, architects, and DevOps teams for seamless integration
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot production issues
• Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architectural discussions
• Integrate backend services with databases, messaging systems, and external APIs

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development
• Strong knowledge of Quarkus and Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Proven experience in Microservices architecture and API design
• Solid understanding of REST, JSON, and HTTP protocols
• Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate/JPA) and SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization tools
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Understanding of Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging systems
• Experience with unit testing frameworks like JUnit and Mockito
• Awareness of DevOps and API security best practices
