Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Spring Boot
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases to design efficient data models
• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and daily stand-ups

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development using Spring Boot
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot modules like Spring Web and Spring Data
• Experience in building RESTful APIs
• Experience with unit testing using JUnit and mocking libraries
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with Git version control
• Proven experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
• Experience with Maven or Gradle build tools
• Good debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with database migration tools such as Flyway
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Knowledge of Redis or other caching technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Understanding of Microservices architecture and Swagger/OpenAPI
