Java Backend Architect

Responsibilities

• Define target architectures for Java backend services, microservices, APIs, and reusable integration components.
• Design scalable and resilient backend solutions using modern frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Quarkus, or Micronaut.
• Establish backend architecture principles including modularity, clean architecture, and domain-driven design.
• Define and promote API design standards, including OpenAPI documentation, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Embed security-by-design principles into all solutions, covering authentication, authorization, and secure communication patterns.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching to engineering teams to ensure high-quality implementation.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and product stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Java backend architecture design.
• Deep expertise with modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Quarkus, Micronaut).
• Strong understanding of API design standards and RESTful services.
• Solid knowledge of backend security principles, including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience providing technical leadership and guiding engineering teams.
