Java Architect

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture for secure, scalable, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Lead the architectural design and implementation of complex, large-scale microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and maintain microservices-based systems on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Design fault-tolerant, low-latency systems capable of handling high transaction volumes and high-throughput workloads.
• Manage complex data storage solutions using SQL/NoSQL databases, optimizing for large-scale data processing.
• Mentor and grow multiple teams of high-performing engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
• Enforce coding standards, design principles, and security best practices to ensure compliance with financial regulations (GDPR, PCI DSS, etc.).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in Java development.
• 5+ years of experience in an Architectural or Solutions Architect role.
• Expert-level knowledge of the Java ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and microservices architecture.
• Extensive experience architecting solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with tools like Git and Jenkins.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with payment tokenization systems and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
• Expertise in secure credential provisioning and compliance with EMVCo and PCI DSS standards.
• Deep proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Functions, Key Vault, and App Service.
• Knowledge of big data and real-time processing solutions like Hadoop or PySpark.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React.
