Japanese Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken Japanese content into text format.
• Follow project-specific guidelines regarding formatting, punctuation, and grammar.
• Adhere to client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies.
• Review and proofread transcripts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with strict discretion and professionalism.

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Japanese (ja_jp).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided).
• Ability to commute to the on-site office in Glendale, CA.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Ability to pass a language assessment test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Japanese or higher.
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or a related field.
• Ability to understand a wide range of Japanese accents and dialects.
