Japanese Transcriber

Responsibilities

• Listen to audio recordings and accurately transcribe spoken Japanese content into text format
• Adhere to project-specific guidelines, including formatting, punctuation, and grammar
• Follow client-specific Written Domain Conventions and "clean room" policies
• Review and proofread transcripts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Manage time effectively to meet established deadlines and maintain high productivity
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with strict discretion and professionalism

Requirements

• Fluent reading, writing, understanding, and typing in Japanese (ja_jp)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship provided)
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Reliable transportation to commute to our on-site office in Orlando, FL
• Ability to pass a language assessment test

Preferred Qualifications

• Typing speed of 40 WPM in Japanese or higher
• Additional training in linguistics, transcription, or a related field
• Proficiency with Mac/PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Workspace
• Strong research abilities for verifying names, locations, and products
