Japan SEO Content Specialist

Responsibilities

• Champion content requirements for landing pages and blog articles to support long-term content strategy
• Create and edit SEO-optimized, engaging content that resonates with local Japanese audiences
• Upload and publish content following SEO best practices and local tone of voice
• Track and optimize landing pages to maintain freshness and enhance user engagement
• Collaborate with the Japan SEO team on keyword research, competitor analysis, and growth goals
• Stay updated on emerging search trends, including AI-powered discovery platforms

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese
• Business-level English proficiency
• Minimum of 3 years of SEO experience
• Proven experience in SEO content writing or content marketing
• Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
• Experience with editorial planning and CMS publishing
• Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals like keyword optimization and user intent
• Experience using web analytics tools to measure content performance
• High attention to detail and strong time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Ahrefs or Semrush
• Experience creating landing page assets
• Familiarity with YouTube SEO and video content discoverability
• Prior experience in SEO strategy development and planning
