Janitor

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize public and common areas including lobbies, hallways, and stairwells
• Maintain washrooms, shower facilities, and shared spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean floors and surfaces
• Disinfect high-touch points such as door handles, railings, and switches
• Empty garbage and recycling and dispose of waste properly
• Restock washroom supplies including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
• Maintain janitorial equipment, carts, and storage areas
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures

Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning, or facilities maintenance preferred
• Experience in workforce accommodations, hotel, institutional, or commercial cleaning is an asset
• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 35–50 pounds
