J7 Modeling and Simulation Joint Training/Exercise Planner

Responsibilities

• Provide modeling and simulation (M&S) integration and execution support for USSPACECOM exercises, training, and wargames
• Develop, test, and execute integrated M&S to simulate display systems including COP, SDCCS, STK, JIMDTS, PDS-M, Intelink, and ITW/AA
• Coordinate with internal and external organizations to identify and implement appropriate simulation architectures
• Support the selection and implementation of computer models for assessment, experimentation, and concept development
• Develop use cases, user scenarios, and concepts of operations to support M&S analytics
• Perform Simulation Coordinator functions, including facilitating M&S Working Groups and conducting system event tests
• Provide M&S controller and role player tasks during active exercise and training events
• Archive data and maintain historical M&S databases

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ACCM and SAP eligibility
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Experience using M&S to develop content for USSPACECOM J7 joint exercises, tabletop exercises, or similar Combatant Command environments
• Proficiency with M&S tools such as STK, JIMDTS, and PDS-M
• Strong knowledge of space operations intelligence and joint space operations
• Experience providing strategic technical guidance and briefing senior-level (GO/FLAG) officers and civilians
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for developing DoD correspondence and staff packages

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of JPME I or JPME II
