J7 Joint Exercise Planner

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all aspects of the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC), including required outcomes and deliverables.
• Support the USSPACECOM J7 Exercise Support Branch by providing expertise on the Joint Training Tool (JTT).
• Review, develop, and process force requests to support Tier 1 and Tier 2 exercises and reciprocal events at other CCMDs.
• Provide SME support across multiple space mission areas, including SATCOM, GPS, Space Domain Awareness, Missile Warning, and Space Control.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of major conferences such as IPC, MPC, FPC, and MSEL Synchronization Conferences.
• Develop media, presentations, and briefings for senior-level (GO/FLAG) officers and senior civilians.
• Manage inputs for JMETL, integrate with UJTL, and coordinate the assessment of Mission Essential Tasks.
• Act as an exercise observer, trainer, or assessor as required to support the Joint Training & Execution System.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher; or 15+ years of relevant DoD experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
• Extensive experience developing content for USSPACECOM J7 joint exercises, tabletop exercises, or similar Combatant Command environments.
• Proficiency with the Joint Training Tool (JTT).
• Proven experience providing strategic advice and technical guidance to program staff and senior leadership.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience developing DoD correspondence and staff packages.
• Knowledge of current space and joint space operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of JPME I or JPME II.
• Previous experience working within a Combatant Command (CCMD), MAJCOM, Joint Staff, or OSD.
