IVM Spray Technician

Responsibilities

• Apply herbicides to control weeds, grasses, and brush along county and state roadside rights-of-way, as well as commercial and industrial properties
• Perform daily tank mixing and properly calibrate spray equipment
• Inspect and maintain trucks and spray systems to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Follow all company and DOT safety regulations and protocols
• Operate company vehicles and equipment in accordance with DCS standards

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check
• Ability to lift 50–60 lbs
• Comfortable using mobile iOS technology
• Availability to work weekends and overtime during peak season as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of weed, grass, and brush species identification
• Understanding of herbicides, safety procedures, and proper application techniques
• Experience calibrating spray equipment and understanding spray patterns
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator’s License preferred (company will provide certification if not already obtained)
