IVF Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infertility testing and treatment plans, including IVF and IUI cycles, between patients and physicians.
• Perform telephone triage for patient calls regarding medications, treatment plans, and test results.
• Maintain accurate patient charting within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Provide patient education and counseling on treatment protocols, medications, and infertility procedures.
• Manage recovery room/PACU responsibilities for office-based procedures such as egg retrievals and embryo transfers.
• Transcribe physician orders, transmit prescriptions, and process prior authorizations.
• Monitor inventory for recovery room supplies and maintain quality assurance logs.
• Precept and mentor clinical staff, including medical assistants and LPNs.
• Ensure infection control compliance and adhere to departmental safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
• 4+ years of related clinical experience.
• Current New York State RN License.
• BLS Certification.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in an environment involving exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience in infertility or reproductive medicine.
• BCLS certification.
