IT Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, printers, and other IT equipment
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system, and network-related issues
• Provide technical support to users through onsite, remote, and phone-based assistance
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system credentials
• Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and updates
• Implement security updates, antivirus protection, and cybersecurity best practices
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventories, technical documentation, and service records
• Support the setup and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Guide users on technology best practices and security awareness

Requirements

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and basic Linux
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches)
• Excellent communication and customer support skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with IT security and data protection best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ certification
• Network+ certification
• Microsoft Certifications
