IT Systems Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance for IT systems and cloud infrastructure
• Carry out upgrades and maintenance to ensure reliable and secure infrastructure
• Lead project planning and deployment for infrastructure projects
• Create and sustain automated processes for software delivery, OS deployment, and configuration management
• Maintain efficient operation of upgrades and migrations
• Troubleshoot user software and hardware problems
• Perform site-specific risk mitigation for system software delivery and configuration management
• Create, test, and distribute operating systems, application packages, and scripts

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree (or 9+ years with high school diploma/GED)
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server Administration (Active Directory, Group Policy, PKI, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience with AWS and/or O365 & Azure enterprise environments
• Proficiency in one or more: Kubernetes, VMware, Linux, Configuration Management, Automation, or Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with one or more: Server and Storage hardware, Backups, NetApp, Pure Storage, hyperconverged infrastructure, or VOIP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Specialist qualifications in AWS, Azure, or Microsoft
• Experience with Juniper or Cisco network switching, IPSEC, SSL VPNs, and firewalls
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC, or CUI
• Experience with Fortinet firewall setup and management
