IT Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provision, safeguard, and maintain system infrastructure within an Agile environment
• Troubleshoot system architecture, address defects, and implement technical solutions
• Provide system security support by addressing configuration and security vulnerabilities
• Develop data-driven solutions using HTML, JavaScript, Java, and Python for operations and national security events
• Provide guidance for IT systems frameworks and ensure best practice architecture design
• Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions
• Ensure systems and processes adhere to industry regulations and organizational policies

Requirements

• Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
• 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining complex system architectures
• Proven track record with Windows OS systems and applications
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server and Windows 10/11
• Experience applying security patches, updates, and hotfixes
• Proficiency with PowerShell for task automation and configuration management
• Experience implementing backup strategies and addressing security vulnerabilities
• Experience with AWS or Azure administrative cloud management
• Ability to develop technical documentation including System Design Documents and Concept of Operations
• Understanding of DOJ Enterprise Architecture or DoDAF equivalent
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methods

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Cloud+
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA)
