About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide tier 3 technical escalation support to the Help Desk for end-user issues
  • Develop, grow, and enhance endpoint engineering capabilities and automation
  • Review and onboard new applications into Identity and Access Management systems
  • Perform onsite support in server closets, including racking and unracking equipment
  • Interface with various IT domains including Scientific Cloud, Networking, M365, and IAM
  • Provide occasional on-call or after-hours support as needed

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT and a minimum of 2 years in in-house systems administration
  • Strong understanding of Windows 11 and Windows Server
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Intune for user and device administration
  • Intermediate scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Terraform, Bash, Python, or equivalent
  • Intermediate understanding of Identity and Access Management (EntraID, SAML, SCIM, NTFS)
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, DNS, VPN)
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing 25–40 lbs and work in technical spaces like server rooms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Relevant certifications in network, infrastructure, or cloud operations
  • Experience with MacOS and JAMF
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience working with compliance-related regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, PCI)
  • Experience in an enterprise environment supporting multiple business units
