About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internally developed and vendor software applications
  • Manage software configuration, testing, and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software issues and implement updates or patches
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements based on business impact and technical complexity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an IT System Support Analyst or in a similar role
  • Proficiency in software installation, configuration, maintenance, and deployment
  • Strong skills in database management and query languages such as SQL
  • Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices in application support
  • Expertise in testing methodologies including Functional, Integration, and UAT
  • Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) within geographically distributed teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
  • Background in upstream oil and gas, specifically Subsurface and Wells applications
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation, such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Python
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Experience with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform
