About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internally developed and vendor software applications
- Manage software configuration, testing, and deployment processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve software issues and implement updates or patches
- Evaluate and prioritize requirements based on business impact and technical complexity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as an IT System Support Analyst or in a similar role
- Proficiency in software installation, configuration, maintenance, and deployment
- Strong skills in database management and query languages such as SQL
- Experience implementing cybersecurity best practices in application support
- Expertise in testing methodologies including Functional, Integration, and UAT
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban) within geographically distributed teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
- Background in upstream oil and gas, specifically Subsurface and Wells applications
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation, such as Ansible, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Experience with low-code platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform
