About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, applications, and hardware
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
- Implement and oversee data backup and recovery processes
- Provide technical support for staff and troubleshoot IT-related issues
- Ensure system security measures including firewalls, anti-virus, and patch management
- Assist in planning and implementing system migrations, upgrades, and expansions
- Document system configurations, procedures, and guidelines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in system administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, VMware, and Hyper-V
- Experience with network protocols, services, and security measures
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of PowerShell or Bash scripting
- Experience with ITIL frameworks
- Understanding of SQL Server or MySQL
