About the role

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in an enterprise environment
  • Manage Active Directory tasks, including creating and modifying accounts and objects
  • Install and configure servers, desktops, and laptops, including operating systems
  • Deploy application software, updates, and patches
  • Install and configure printers and other IT peripherals
  • Monitor and respond to the help desk ticketing system
  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot network and server performance
  • Maintain continuous documentation of IT systems
  • Provide support for multiple sites, including after-hours assistance when required

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Windows server support or LAN/WAN and computer support
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Windows Server 2019 or later
  • Knowledge of network connectivity, protocols, and security devices, including VPN troubleshooting
  • Ability to lift or transport equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to travel to data centers and remote sites to provide on-site services
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and oral)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, Hyper-V, or Azure
  • General knowledge of laboratory practices and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
