Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom training in a highly interactive style to prepare adult students for entry-level to mid-level careers in Information Technology
  • Provide daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance, one-on-one tutoring, and monitoring of student progress
  • Manage student behavior and enforce program policies including attendance and dress code
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to evaluate and evolve the curriculum as new technologies emerge
  • Maintain and update Salesforce and Canvas with student grades, certifications, and progress notes
  • Advise students on career tracks and coordinate with Business Solutions for employment opportunities
  • Create, submit, and maintain training curricula for approval

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of teaching experience
  • At least 1 year of IT work experience
  • Current A+ certification (1001-1002 Series)
  • Google IT Support Professional Certificate
  • Network+ Certification (N10-007)
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, Apple, and Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience implementing network technologies and TCP/IP suite protocols
  • Ability to lift 50lbs frequently

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3+ years of IT work experience
  • Experience teaching technical courses or teaching remotely
  • Experience in workforce development
  • Linux production experience
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or OpenStack
