About the role

Responsibilities

  • Respond to end-user service requests via ServiceNow or phone in a timely manner
  • Resolve routine and documented end-user issues using established standards
  • Liaise with technical specialists to resolve complex enquiries
  • Set up and deploy software and hardware according to established standards
  • Develop and edit standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot and provide support for peripheral set-up and maintenance
  • Test and analyze new and upgraded software and hardware

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in a client-facing, technical computer support position
  • Working knowledge of PC and MAC hardware, smart devices, and printers
  • Proficiency in Windows 7/10 and MS Office 365
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, local area networking, and Ethernet interfaces
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to perform shift work, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to physically move and install equipment safely using basic hand tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow or TeamViewer
  • Experience with web-based applications and Portal platforms
  • Experience with creating scripts
