IT Support Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on end-user, application, and hardware support to ensure reliable technology performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and application issues to maintain operational reliability.
• Perform system updates, OS and application patching, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Manage end-user requests through ticketing systems, ensuring timely tracking and resolution.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors on hardware and software deployment and testing.
• Support 2nd shift operations (2 pm to 10:30 pm) and participate in on-call or off-hours maintenance as required.
• Create and document technical standards and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Experience supporting desktop/laptop hardware, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows-based operating systems and internal applications.
• Knowledge of security best practices, including endpoint protection and least privilege.
• Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell or similar tools.
• Ability to work onsite at a manufacturing plant during the 2nd shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• A+ certifications.
• Limited exposure to Linux environments.
