IT Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical support to users (students, faculty, and staff) both remotely and on-site.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, including computers, printers, and videoconferencing tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Evaluate reported technical failures in person to determine if immediate resolution is possible or if escalation to higher support levels is required.
• Manage the inventory of peripheral and audiovisual equipment, such as laptops and adapters, ensuring proper tracking and functional condition.
• Assist users with digital services, including portal access, email configuration, and internet connectivity.
• Research and implement new tools and strategies to improve IT service delivery and institutional growth.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems, Computing, Informatics, or a related field (completed or in process).
• High proficiency in macOS, iOS, and iPadOS; Apple certification is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in technical support and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Intermediate level of English to support international students and faculty.
• Strong service orientation, adaptability, and ability to work autonomously.
