About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve Service Desk tickets through timely resolution and effective escalation using JIRA.
- Maintain accurate logging of all incidents, service requests, and changes.
- Provide desktop and voice infrastructure support, including building, imaging, and maintaining laptops and desktops.
- Support standard Microsoft technologies, telephony, and various trading applications.
- Collaborate with IT team members to share best practices via the internal knowledge base.
- Manage PC setups and desk moves as required.
- Provide support as part of a shift pattern (7am - 6pm, Monday to Friday) with occasional weekend work and travel to North American data centers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in Information Technology.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, and GPO).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange.
- Ability to work shift patterns, including some weekends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience within the banking, finance, or financial trading industry.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+), MCITP, or CCNA.
- Experience with trading applications like Bloomberg, Citrix, or Reuters.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks.
