IT Server/Middleware Specialist

Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and ensure the operation of infrastructure platforms, including data centers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and edge computing.
• Coordinate the integration between infrastructure, cloud platforms, and business applications to ensure availability and scalability.
• Manage high availability, backups, and disaster recovery protocols for production and manufacturing applications.
• Monitor platform capacity, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure infrastructure security and compliance with Volkswagen Group and Audi AG technological standards.
• Manage hybrid infrastructure environments (On-Premise and Cloud) and coordinate with external vendors.

Requirements

• Experience with Data Center architectures and Edge Computing.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere and vSAN.
• Hands-on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
• Expertise in Middleware and Application Servers.
• Solid understanding of Cloud Computing and hybrid infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and IT service operations.
• Proficiency in Python and computer programming.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Background in cybersecurity and infrastructure security standards.
• Experience in project management and vendor coordination.
