IT Security Officer (Operational Technology)

Responsibilities

• Protect the integrity, availability, and confidentiality of OT infrastructure within the Meteorological Service Singapore
• Perform OT asset discovery and maintain a comprehensive OT Asset Register
• Document IT/OT network architecture and map operational data flows
• Monitor and defend meteorological systems including weather radar and satellite ground stations
• Operate and maintain SIEM tools to detect anomalies in hybrid environments
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and IEC 62443
• Manage patch cycles and vulnerability scans in coordination with systems engineers
• Evaluate third-party hardware and software for supply chain risks
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness training tailored to operational contexts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/OT security roles
• Proficiency with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection tools
• Ability to obtain government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience securing SCADA, ICS, or OT systems
• Familiarity with meteorological systems or remote sensing technologies
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and IEC 62443 frameworks
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GICSP
• Experience with cloud security in AWS or Azure Government
• Knowledge of meteorological data formats like BUFR, GRIB, or NetCDF
