IT Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage findings from Attack Surface Management (ASM) and Vulnerability Management tools
• Assess findings for validity, severity, and exploitability
• Prioritize remediation efforts based on risk
• Work with system owners to track and resolve outstanding findings
• Manage exceptions and risk acceptance
• Consolidate vulnerability data and remediation metrics for reporting
• Identify trends and systemic issues across the attack surface
• Contribute to the refinement of ASM and vulnerability management processes and policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent
• Approximately 5 years of experience in cybersecurity (vulnerability management, ASM, SecOps, or IT risk)
• Strong understanding of CVSS, patch management, and external-facing attack surface risks
• Familiarity with tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Censys
• Proficiency in Python is advantageous
• Professional certifications like GWEB, OSCP, CRISC, or CISA are preferred
