IT Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security policies and protocols to protect sensitive information
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Provide incident response to security breaches and investigate incidents
• Audit and manage enterprise-wide patching
• Conduct security awareness training for employees
• Stay updated on security trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements
• Enforce CMMC 2.0 regulations in collaboration with security analysts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience)
• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer
• Proficiency in firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption methods
• Familiarity with Python or PowerShell
• Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and Office 365
• Proficiency in VLANs, VPN technologies, and networking in a DOW environment
• Familiarity with CMMC 2.0, Dfars 252.204-712, and NIST 800-171
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• CISSP or CEH certifications
• 5+ years of experience in a government regulated or high security industry
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and ITAR
